Whisper it on-chain.
Whispr seals every message in your browser and writes it to Solana. The world sees noise. Your contact sees words. We pay the fee.
Where should we meet?

Live X25519 + XChaCha20-Poly1305, running in your browser right now.
From keystroke to block.
Our servers only ever handle public keys and ciphertext. Never your words.
- 1your browser
Keys are born on your device
One random seed becomes an Ed25519 signing key and an X25519 encryption key. Your ID is the public signing key. Private keys never leave the device.
- 2your browser
The message gets sealed
A fresh key encrypts it with XChaCha20-Poly1305, wrapped to your contact — and to you, so you can reread it. The inside is signed so they know it was you.

We pay the chain to remember
Our relayer puts the ciphertext in a Solana memo and pays the ~0.000005 SOL fee. Long messages live in our database with their SHA-256 hash anchored on-chain.
- 4their browser
Only they can open it
Their browser unwraps the key with their private key and checks your signature. Anyone can see the transaction. Only the two of you can read it.
A public chain. A private conversation.
Here is the honest line between what we seal and what anyone can see.
Sealed — only you two
- The words you write
- Who sent it — sealed inside the ciphertext
- Who it is for — no recipient address on-chain
- Your private keys — they never reach our servers
Visible to anyone
- That a transaction happened, and when
- The approximate size of the ciphertext
- Our relayer wallet as the fee payer
- Whispr’s database routes sender → recipient so your inbox works
Before you send
- Blockchain records cannot be deleted. “Hide” removes a message from Whispr only.
- Lose your recovery key and your messages are gone for good — we cannot reset it.
- Long messages are stored off-chain in our database. Only their hash is permanent.
- No forward secrecy: anyone who later steals your key can read your past messages.
